CNW 4445 brings as west side job strings of boxcars east past Eau Claire Tower on CNW's mainline from the Twin Cities. By 1982 the crossovers between main tracks have been removed, as well as the interchange track (right) to the Milwaukee Road, but the tower still protects the diamond over the former Milwaukee branch, still used by Soo Line, as well as trackage into Uniroyal. Soo quit running in 1986, but the tower remained until 1991.
