Remarks & Notes
Central Vermont GP9 4927 was built in 1957 for passenger service, with EMD's "torpedo boat" option in which the air reservoirs were relocated to the roof to make room under the frame for a large water tank for steam generation. On an October morning in 1983 it was ready to lead northbound train 447 out of White River Junction, VT.
