Remarks & Notes |
The Vermont Rail System's Green Mountain Railroad train #263x - the Saturday Slurry train - is seen traversing the Bellows Falls Subdivision after an April 1 snowstorm dumped as much as 14-18 inches of new snow on the eastern slopes of the Green Mountains. The train is plowing nearly 2 feet of snow as at heads through the Cavendish Gulf on the way to Gassetts, VT with VTR SD70M-2 431 leading GP40-2Ws 310 and 311 with GMTX SD60 9000 - the P&W/VTR logo unit. The 431 has signs of tree 'smacks' on the engineer side above the windshield and on the top of the nose. |
