Cass Scenic Railroad Shay No. 5 leads the first photo excursion along the former Chesapeake & Ohio Greenbrier line in more than 30 years. The locomotive, which has been disguised as a former Greenbrier & Elk River locomotive, is facing south as it leads a log train toward Cass. Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad crews are currently restarting the river line north from Cass to Durbin and have repairs about 3.8-miles of track so far.
