Remarks & Notes |
East Meets East
Cajon Pass is one of those unusual placed where eastbound trains of two railroads could roll next to each other while moving in opposite directions. This was the case here at Sullivan’s Curve, as two Santa Fe GP30’s are helpers on an eastbound intermodal train climbing toward Cajon Summit. Meanwhile, an eastbound Southern Pacific manifest from northern California drifts downgrade on the Palmdale Cutoff.
