The Final Show: LIRR had the honors of leading the last Ringling Brother's/Barnum and Bailey Circus Train to it's final show in Uniondale, New York. A legacy 145 years old ends here in the suburbs of the Big Apple. This was a bittersweet time for many. For the performers; they're happy to be doing what they love, performing for the Greatest Show on Earth. For rail enthusiasts; we're happy to see the same silver train, rounding each curve every year...a tradition for many who wear the tag "railfan." But it wasn't only railfans watching history rolling past them this year, it was also your average Long Islander; proud that their home will be the final words in this history book known as "The Greatest Show on Earth."
