After several days of excursions on Red River Valley & Western trackage, to celebrate their 30th anniversary, Milwaukee Road 261 and its entourage head for home along BNSF's former Great Northern route through western and central Minnesota. Several GN relics remain along the route, like signals, code line, and even a water tower. A smoky 261 adds the icing on the cake on a beautiful Sunday morning.
