Remarks & Notes
Amtrak's Phase 3 P40DC #822 leads the northbound Heartland Flyer (train #822) out of Fort Worth, TX towards Tower 60 with four Amtrak company cars in tow. The cars took important Amtrak executives and local government officials over the BNSF Red Rock Sub from Oklahoma City, OK to Kansas City, KS for evaluation of the route for possible extension of passenger rail service. The train operated under the symbol A-952 1-09 and was welcomed by large crowds at several stops along the way.

The GE Genesis series are well known for being Amtrak's locomotive. With confirmation of retirement from Amtrak themselves, their time is limited. Now is your chance to catch them before the chargers arrive!
