Running just over six hours late, Amtrak's Southwest Chief, #3, rounds the shaded curves of Kingman Canyon with a EMD SD40-2 leading, BNSF 1731. Formerly ATSF 5163, this 37 year old locomotive gets more shot of leading a train along the Transcon.
