What would end up being the lone SW1 to survive on Amtrak's roster is seen getting a complete overhaul, and came out of the shop better than new. This unit had been the shop switcher for the Wilmington Shops for many years, but was temporarily reassigned to Washington Terminal for quite a few years until recently being returned.
