Looking down into the cab of SP 4449 from above, flash-backs from the movie "Tough Guys" come to mind as the 1941-built product of Lima heads west past the Lakeside yard - tender-forward - with the Gordon Zimmerman, Traveler's Rest and the auxiliary tender in tow. In the background, the snow covered 11,250-foot tall peak of Mt. Hood stands sentinel making many jealous of the cooler temperature there vs in downtown Portland. The Friends of the 4449 equipment is heading for the T-6 wye across the river where they'll be turned to face the correct direction for the following day's trip to Bend.
