Remarks & Notes
The New Sign is in Worse Shape than the Old Sign!

The Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad constructed its offices and passenger station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1898. One-hundred and nineteen years later, this solid structure still stands on the banks of the Monongahela River, proudly displaying an impressive neon sign from days past. The station remained in use into the 1960s, although at that time the P&LE was part of the New York Central System. These days the building has been repurposed and now serves as the Grand Concourse Restaurant.
