Remarks & Notes
Blasting north to Oklahoma, a rather lengthy Heartland Flyer train is being led by heritage engine number 822 with four Amtrak executive cars tagged on the rear. 822 (the engine, not the train) along with the four executive cars would continue north from Oklahoma City in the morning as part of early efforts to connect the Flyer to the Southwest Chief in the future.

The GE Genesis series are well known for being Amtrak's locomotive. With confirmation of retirement from Amtrak themselves, their time is limited. Now is your chance to catch them before the chargers arrive!
