Remarks & Notes

An ex-Interstate mine run with a trio of units in Southern livery pauses beside the old L&N passenger station in Appalachia. The track to the immediate right of the motive power is the ex-L&N's CV main. The mine run occupies the "new connection", a track constructed to allow crews from Norton on the ex-IRR to make a direct connection with the ex-Southern main through Appalachia.
