Remarks & Notes
It's been more than a year since the first EMD F125 arrived on Metrolink's property...and yet, the commuter rail agency continues to struggle in bringing the new units online. In the meantime, the company's veteran units like the SCAX 856 live out their days continuing their service of hauling thousands of people in and out of Los Angeles. I was originally going to say "living out their final days," but after saying that for a year, who really knows anymore.

Some of the best passenger locomotives that EMD ever made (aside from the F40PH). With all Amtrak F59s gone from the Surfline, the only place that they can be seen is with Caltrans (Amtrak California).

What California is known for. Fires, droughts, weed, and people waving rainbow flags. Yah. Great place alright. At least the trains are nice.

Tier IV locomotives are the safest, cleanest, and most fuel efficient locomotives on the rails today. Unfortunately, most of them are ugly and are as quiet as an ACS-64.

Some trains just have an especially futuristic look to them.
