On a typically cold January evening in the Piedmont of North Carolina. NS 349 arrives into its termination point of Linwood yard as an extra loaded ballast train hammers down up the hill with sanders on as it begins it's run north toward Lexington.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
