Retired MBTA 01400s are shoved over the shop pit to have their traction motors inspected. Clearances are tight and volunteers look on to watch the movement. These cars that were delivered to Boston in 1963 are undergoing restoration and will be hopefully running on their own by this coming October.
The MBTA is very dear to me. The first trains I ever rode as a toddle to teenager were those of the "T" Here is a collection of MBTA Subway and trolley I have found on RP from the 60's thru today.
