Since 2001 (15 trips or so) I have tried to get that famous glint shot at Winslow with no luck...timing just never worked out. On this day it was steady clouds with some heavy rain bursts until the sun began to set, when a nice clearing popped up in the Western horizon. As the train approached about 5 minutes early to what I was looking for the sun and clouds creating a dramatic backdrop on a gorgeous summer sunset. The Train would stop short of the overpass enabling quite a few angles but even without the glaring glint shot I am pretty pleased with the photo of this Eastbound train coming through the sag just short of Winslow.
