Historic Union Station. I have wanted to catch this shot in good light for awhile. This freight train is on its way through Columbia on its way up the historic and former Southern R Line from Macon, GA to Linwood, NC. It is passing the former Union Station that was used jointly by the Southern and the Atlantic Coast Line, which is now the California Dreaming restaurant. The train will pull past the station toward Pickens Street, then shove back into Andrews Yard to prepare for the next stage of its trip.
