The Beginning of the End It's 1935 in the Scranton yards of the Delaware Lackawanna & Western, and an Electro-Motive Corporation intruder has poked its nose into the former all-steam stronghold. A Baldwin Locomotive Works demonstrator 0-6-0 sits by the sand tower while SC #426 idles in the background. This photo was part of a very successful night photo shoot at Steamtown National Historic Site in conjunction with the Lackawanna & Wyoming Valley Railway Historical Society.
