Remarks & Notes

In April 1972 this United Aircraft TurboTrain was working for Amtrak, but still wore its DOT paint scheme. Eastbound from New York to Boston, it races through Stratford, CT, under former New Haven catenary. A UA mechanic rode all trips to help keep the temperamental Turbos moving.
