On a cool, summer, night along Arizona's high country, the milky way is shining bright over the dark sky. In the mist of the peacefulness of a quiet desert, a BNSF intermodal train slowly rolls up to a red signal at West Valentine. Here, two GE motors idle quietly as a fleet of higher priority intermodal trains will over the this Atlanta to Los Angeles Q-train. In this scene, the flash red light of the EOT off of the Z WSPNBY9 22L races westward, wasting no time moving across desert landscape on a star-lit night.
An ongoing/growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome, but seldom seen beauty of railroads because most of us don't go out after sundown or before sunrise. From dusk to dawn, lights are on! (And I continue to find new "Lights In The Night"!)
