Remarks & Notes

The colors are wildly ablaze in the Last Frontier in the waning days of summer signaling the end of passenger season on the Alaska Railroad. This year I went back for another shot at the Turn on its namesake bridge but this time rode in on the train and thanks to the generosity of conductor Warren Redfearn was able to disembark with my drone on the south side of the bridge and make an easy short flight while he took his passengers out for their customary 10 min stop before heading back south to Talkeetna. This view looks west and shows the mouth of the Gulch where Hurricane Creek joins the Chulitna River. To the west the Alaska Range is shrouded in clouds and snow is creeping ever further down the sides of the mountains.
