Remarks & Notes

An eastbound Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad passenger train is about to depart Chama, New Mexico, powered with double-headed 2-8-2 K-36 Mikados Nos. 488 and 487. At this point in history on the former Rio Grande 3-foot gauge railroad, it still hauled passengers in converted 3000-series boxcars.
