On Sunday, July 2, 2017, Amtrak Cascades train #506 derailed just south of Tacoma, WA. F59PHI #467 and a new Series 8 Talgo, the "Mt. Jefferson" were damaged. At the time of this photo, the first two cars of the Talgo set were undergoing heavy repair at the King Street shops, while the rest of the train sat uncoupled, affording a rare view of a Talgo coach's business end.
