| UP's hot Overland Mail West sweeps through the valleys east of the highest ridges of the Sierra Nevada, with the little town of Doyle in the distance. What a change in scenery this is compared to such place as the Black Rock Desert, which the train has traversed since leaving Salt lake City. |
