Roaring into Roaring Spring. The Everett Railroad's Mogul #11 makes a dramatic late afternoon arrival at the little former Pennsy Station in Roaring Spring, PA. Most of the line's passenger excursions don't run to Roaring Spring, so it was a special treat to experience it on Pete Lerro's Fall 2017 charter, and in great light to boot. While we were there, the folks opened up the station so we could take a look inside, and we were treated to an array of historic photos, depicting Pennsylvania Railroad operations there over the years. Roaring Spring is a great little town. A Pennsy Caboose is on display here at the station, and across the street, there's a neat little pond with lots of ducks and other water birds. At night, the pond features fountains that are lit in a variety of pretty colors. My only regret is that I didn't get a night shot of those fountains.
