Susquehanna Veteran on Home Rails
When the NYS&W sold their three GP18s to East Penn Railroad nearly a decade ago many were certain they would never return "home" running on their own rails again. While not technically NYS&W trackage, the M&NJ Hudson Secondary hosts six NYS&W road trains a week making this veteran NYS&W seem right at home nearly a decade after being removed from service on the NYS&W. Today the ex-NYSW 1800 series GP18 is leading a lengthy manifest through Roe's Orchard on the Middletown and New Jersey after a long weekend due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. |
