My father is standing on the bridge carrying the north leg of the Westminster Junction wye, looking south, down on the former Northern Pacific. The Northern Pacific and Great Northern contributed large numbers of F-Units to the BN, and, here, an ABAA set leads a train through the tunnel under the junction. Lead unit, former NP F9a 830 has been repainted in BN colors, but the trailing units, former NP F9b 825, former NP F7a 746, and former GN F7a 686, remain in predecessor road colors. The city of St. Paul significantly altered the view from this location in the late 1990s, early 2000s when it built the Phalen Road overpass.
