Remarks & Notes
Playing peek-a-boo amongst the gritty structures of downtown St. Louis' riverfront, a former Missouri Pacific EMD GP38-2 works Lesperance St yard's 0700 YSL14R 21 "Dump Job" as it drags a healthy cut of cars out for headroom to begin switching. This locomotive began its railroading career a little over 36 years ago back in February of 1981 as part of a 30 unit order placed by the MoPac. Even today as a part of the Union Pacific, the original dark blue colors of its former railroad still bleed through serving as a little reminder into its past.
