Remarks & Notes
My great uncle, Robert F. McKee, Sr. worked for the Baldwin Locomotive Works as a design engineer on many steam locomotives for American Railroads. It is interesting to me that he also worked on locomotives for foreign railroads. This 2-8-2 was built for the French National Railway under the supervision of the U.S. War Department. 260 of the Class 141-R locomotives were made. When Uncle Rob would see my father, he would give him a couple Baldwin builder's cards, and my dad had a nice collection of cards, so I thought you would enjoy this one. This BLW builders photo card is from the J. R. Doughty collection.
