On a very dreary and cloudy morning, a rare BC Rail GE C40-8M Cowl unit leads KCS Train O-ARJA (oil can Artesia, MS to Jackson, MS to CN) out of Meridian, MS on the KCS Meridian Subdivision. Commonly known as the Meridian Speedway.
CN units are very common in this area nowadays, but these BC Rail units are a rare sight. Especially leading! The unit still had her original Nathan K5H horn and GE cab mounted bell.
I want to give a special shout out to Engineer Kyle and his conductor for putting on a great show while we chased this train. Great crew for sure!
