Paint schemes old and new: On location of the old Jefferson Proving Grounds in Madison, Indiana rests the shops of the Madison Railroad. This facility was once used for munitions testing, but it is now home to various other entities. The railroad uses this area primarily for storage purposes as their main customer is about 20 miles away in North Vernon. On my recent visit, I noticed the repainted Baldwin along with their GP-10. This "new and old" shot became something of interest to me since I shot the GP-10 on my last visit. Plans for Baldwin are to decal the engine into an Army and Marine Veterans scheme. Their second Baldwin, blue and gold in color, will be done in a Navy Veterans scheme. Once complete, these Baldwins will be something for Veterans to be proud of and railfans across the area to enjoy.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
