| Mainline Garratt Mixed: Moving at track speed to keep up with the mainline freights to Harare, NRZ #525 storms under the signal bridge at the north end of Mpopoma yard. Rhodesia Railways, the pre-independence railway, was the first line in Africa to utilize CTC and ABS signals, and the line from Bulawayo to Harare was the pioneering installation in 1954. |
