Remarks & Notes
The Waterloo Switcher is on the way back from the Union Pacific's Yard at Linden with a big pull. The Iowa Northern calls the cars to and from the UP the "overhead". UP has a landlocked industrial trackage that they sever a few big customers in northeast Waterloo. The Iowa Northern is used as a bridge for the UP cars to and from their mainlines in Manly and Cedar Rapids. On the headend today is an empty potash train from Armour that will go back to the UP at Manly. Most of overhead will depart today on the North and South crews. Here the crew crosses the Cedar River in downtown Waterloo with an unusual pair of F's for this job.
