New Humsafar class express trains are fully air-conditioned, long distance sleeper trains. All the coaches are equipped with features like LED screen display to show information about stations & train speed, public address system, tea, coffee & milk vending machines , heating & refrigerating chamber for food items, cell phone/laptop charging ports etc. They have more comfortable berths than the previous 3-tier AC sleeper rakes. Safety measures have been upgraded with introduction of smoke detection alarms and CCTV cameras inside the compartments. The coaches have Bio toilets at both ends. The exterior of the train has a futuristic look with the use of Vinyl sheets. On this 20th day of February, 2018, EMD locomotive leads Mysore to Udaipur Humsafar express passing trough tunnel number 1 on its inaugural run. The train is to make total journey of 2267 kilometers.
