Gone for good. I'm told this is a survey marker, defining the end of the Union Railroad and beginning of the Pennsylvania Railroad. It sat tucked cramped between a catenary pole and bridge abutment just north of Baltimore Penn Station for over a century, but several months ago it went missing, leaving only its concrete base. It was visible from passing trains if you knew what to look for.
