Remarks & Notes |
A pair of ex-ATSF "Warbonnet" General Electric Dash 9's drag BNSF T KCS1 20R between the searchlight signals at Santa Fe JCT on KCT's North-South Corridor. This is a transfer job shuffling cars back from Knoche Yard on the Kansas City Southern to BNSF's massive Argentine Yard just across the border.
Both of these locomotives were built back in September of 1994 and still wear the paint of their original owners, the Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railway company. After thousands of miles of cross country running and close to 46 years of railroading experience between these two, they both are now held captive within the greater Kansas City area living out their final days. |
