After working North Clarion Yard (left out of frame) and swapping crews with the northbound RISI, the southbound road train from Salamanca, NY gets underway for Riker Yard just outside Punxsutawney. The formerly double-tracked trestle over the Clairon River valley, and (I think) the former Phliadelphia & Erie (PRR) mainline (right side of the frame), dates to the Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh (later B&O). The Domtar paper mill complex makes an imposing background that has dominated this small north-central Pennsylvania community for 127 years.
The former P&E/PRR here is used as access to a small yard and runs at least as far north as Warren, PA.
