RISING FROM THE DEAD! ...I wish. This oddball factory rebuilt former New York Central 16-10 Slumbercoach was Amtrak's Vermillion Harbor that derailed in 1994 as part of the Lake Shore Limited. Ironically, another former piece of New York Central history helped seal its fate: a signal bridge came down on top of the car and tore up the roof. The vestibule end was kept around for a rainy day, but it sure reminded me of a zombie poking out of the ground.
