The first day of spring 2018 was, ironically, met with a rather heavy snowstorm. I sort of imagine the conversation between Nature and the Seasons being much like the 'Second Breakfast' quip made by a hobbit.
Nevertheless I chose to use the tail end of my day to crawl up the back side of Horseshoe Curve for what might be my last snow action of the year. After an hour and catching a meet, I decided to head out as it was getting late, only to have a second eastbound creep into view. I took my shot, waved, and proceeded back down the hill with the smell of smoking brake shoes behind me.
