A bad order traction motor is changed out on Union Pacific GE AC4400CW No. 6300 at the railroad’s locomotive shop in South Morrill, Nebraska, on September 14, 2017. Alan Ford writes up what is wrong with the old traction motor, while his co-worker on the drop table uses the overhead crane to move a rebuilt traction motor in place onto the table. The axle/traction motor will then be lowered and moved under the 6300, and then raised into position so the men can install it back into the truck.
