| Remarks & Notes |
| The engineer for Amtrak's Winter Park Ski Train climbs aboard and gets ready to head into the 6.2 mile-long Moffat Tunnel on the journey back to Denver's Union Station. Denver is the only major American city where you can step onto a train and ride directly to the slopes. The train passes through 29 tunnels, including the nine-minute-long Moffat Tunnel. The $75 round trip tickets for the 2 hour train ride were hugely successful again this year, and Amtrak even added a Friday run this year to meet the demand. Here's hoping that it will run again in 2019. |
