"Amtrak Training Train at 138th Street"
Amtrak's Training train heads north past 138th Street Grand Concourse on Metro North's Hudson Line during the last minutes of daylight in New York City. The train consists of P32AC-DM 716 leading an Amfleet Cafe and MARC Cab Car. The train is making several trips on the Hudson Line to prepare Amtrak Empire Corridor crews for the summer detour into Grand Central Terminal.
The GE Genesis series are well known for being Amtrak's locomotive. With confirmation of retirement from Amtrak themselves, their time is limited. Now is your chance to catch them before the chargers arrive!
