The Blonay-Chamby Railroad Museum is celebrating 50 years of service in 2018. 5 steamlocomotives are invited as guests for the celebration. So this meeting of two totally different one meter gauge vehicles is possible, with extremly different tasks. On the left as guest the G 3/3 # 60 "La Ferté-Bernard" streetcar locomotive from the tramways de la Sarthe/France, now running for the Musée des tramways à vapeur et des chemins de fer secondaires français (Museum of streetcars and branch lines) about 30 kilometer north of Paris. On the right the self-propelled 2x3/3 steam rotary snow blower R # 1052 (later designation Xrot d # 9214) built in 1912 by SLM Winterthur for the Bernina Railway, sister of the operational and well known Xrot d # 9213 of the Rhaetian Railway, Bernina line. The R # 1052 (origin designation) is not operational, because the boiler is defect, but it's possible to turn the large wheel by using steam from another locomotive.
