Mingo Monster

A Rails Northeast article by Jay Potter, titled “The Monsters of Mingo Junction”, made the small industrial town of Mingo Junction, Ohio, a bucket list destination for many railfans in the northeast. Mingo was a good place to see Conrail’s big Alco Centuries, which had been assigned to ore service in the region. Here the early morning sun bathes a C636 alongside the roundhouse.
