NS 066 descends Horseshoe Curve above Altoona. This train is a rare movement--it's Union Pacific's Office Car Special, headed up by UP 1943 "The Spirit of the Union Pacific." Bound for West Point, UP specifically requested 1943 be allowed to lead the train east through Pennsylvania, which is PRR cab signaled territory. Normally, this wouldn't happen, but they reprogrammed the unit to be compatible with system.
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
