UP's "Spirit of the Union Pacific" Office Car Special splits the old and new Hammond, the Horse Shoe casino to the left and traditional industry to the right. The tracks to the right lead to NS Colehour Yard. What had been anticipated as a night try at the Hammond Amtrak station turned into a morning photo on the casino entrance bridge.
