This one was just right. It took a bit of work to figure out that the best sun angle to shoot an Amtrak train on the Park Avenue Viaduct in the afternoon would not be available during the week because of the schedule. And so on Saturday, June 30, 2018, we catch the Sa/Su only Train 256 with P32AC-DM 704 (Phase III) in the lead passing CP3 at the location of the former NK Tower as a MTA Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line train passes in the background. It’s passengers are only a few minutes away from arriving at Grand Central Terminal, this summer’s destination for Empire Service.
