An Amtrak Keystone ducks under the former PRR built flyover while sprinting past the 1880 built PRR station. On August 2, 1984, the station house, no longer in service, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. SEPTA built a large 229 space parking lot on a hillside to the left of the station likely ensuring the future of the station despite its proximity to the larger and modern park and ride built by Amtrak in 1981 located one mile east in Exton, PA.
The bridge was built in 1906 for the PRR and is a pin-connected Parker through truss measuring 375 feet. It was two-tracked with overhead catenary and was part of a bypass known as the P&T (the Philadelphia and Thorndale Branch) which parallels the PRR main line between Frazer and Thorndale. It was abandoned by Conrail in 1989. Below the bridge is Amtrak's Keystone line. The missing track, at this location, was removed by the PRR in the late 1960's.
